Tree Walks in 2000

Join a neighborhood walk or a walk in another neighborhood to learn more about trees and the environment around you.
Tree Walks this year are organized by Cambridge Tree Project and are given by City Arborist Larry Acosta, as well as Ranger Jean Rogers and Bill Shuitkin. If you or your neighbors are interested in a walk in the morning or early evening on a week day, please contact, Cambridge Tree Project. We might be able to set up a tree walk for you.

Tree Walks of Cambridge Neighborhoods 2000

Explore the diversity of trees around us. Learn to identify common and unusual trees in the area. Learn how to identify common problems of trees. Plan what steps to take next. Learn how to take care of your street or yard tree. You will have the opportunity to adopt a tree in Cambridge. We will explore competing concerns of trees, sidewalks and public utilities and consider alternatives. Learn the benefits of trees in the city to our climate, economy, health, and environment.
